Let’s be honest here, nobody likes to fail. It’s a horrible feeling and sometimes you can’t help but feel like you’re worthless. This is one way to look at it, but there’s another way, a more positive outlook of failure. If you pay attention and embrace failure you can receive some positive feedback, here are a few:

How Not To Do Something- Learning how not to do something is more valuable than you know. No one really knows how to do a certain thing at first. It’s in the trying and failing that you learn.

Figuring Out Your Weaknesses- We all have some type of weakness. This can be talking in front of crowds, playing a certain sport, or writing in a certain format. Knowing our weaknesses from failing will eventually help us improve on them. Better to approach your weaknesses than avoid them.

Find Your Passion- When you fail at something and continue to try, this will revive what you really passionate about. I will give you a personal example: every day, every week, every month, even every year I failed at Jiu Jitsu, but I continue coming back. I found my passion and it’s in the failure that I find what truly drives me.

As you can see, failure is not as bad as you may think. Failure serves a purpose in life, it makes life less boring. Failure is the beginning of any journey, and you can learn from them if only you accept them. Like the great Henry Ford said “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, only this time more wisely.”
